A walk in the park and visit to the Kaiser Wilheim market.

We drove to Britzer Garten, a nearby public park which is a very popular place for family outings and charges a small admission fee to cover its maintenance. It features a network of walks, childrens play areas and a lake that is flanked by a model of the solar system.

After a coffee break in the park to warm us up, we went to the market at the Kaiser Wilheim memorial church, which was the site of the terrorist attack in 2016. We enjoyed the festive atmosphere and sampled some more German specialities. At each market, the Glu-wein was served in specially produced souvenir mugs, for which a deposit needed to be charged, otherwise they would all have disappeared!

Back home for a rest before a traditional Berlin dinner at the renowned Gasthof zur grunen Linde in Alt Marienfelde, just a short walk away. A memorable meal and festuive atmosphere!
